QUALIFICATIONS :
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s or
- Doctoral degree in a human services field AND
- Licensed by the governing board regulating a human services profession in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes.
FUNCTION :
This position performs a variety of consultative, supervisory and direct service activities as required by PRTF and / or outpatient treatment standards. The Licensed Professional serves as a member of the Treatment Team, and must maintain the professional license in good standing with the necessary governing board. Exhibits cultural sensitivity toward consumers, stakeholders and co-workers from various cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious and racial backgrounds.
DUTIES :
Participate in Child and Family Team meetings as necessary.Provide clinical guidance and supervision to other professional staff and Paraprofessional staff as assigned.Participate in Morning Rounds meeting.Participate in psych clinic.Provide oversight and assessment recommendations in Consumer emergency situations.Provide individual, group and family therapy as scheduled.Provide assessment and diagnostic input to the Treatment Team relative to PCP / Service Plan development, and treatment strategies and interventions.Perform admission assessments in accordance with established Policy and Procedure.Formulate valid diagnosis using the DSM-V. Identify and develop individual needs and goals that are consistent with diagnostic formulation.Accept responsibility for Therapy goals and provides and or coordinates Outpatient Services as prescribed in the PCP / Service Plan.Monitor and modify therapy goals / needs as appropriate through Policy and Procedure.Provide direct supervision for Consumer Affairs Coordinators and Licensed Professionals as assigned.Document service provision in accordance in NOVA procedures, and DFS, DMA and DMH / DD / SAS standards and rules.Perform on-call functions as scheduled.Perform pre-admission and admission activities, as scheduled.Conduct assessments as credentialed and consistent with clinical training, as assigned.Participate in the implementation of Evidence Based Practices and outcome measures, Nova Star program and other incentive based activities.Complete the BERS in accordance with NOVA’s Outcome Measures policy and protocol.Adhere to all NOVA Policies and Procedures.Provide presentations to community groups and agencies regarding NOVA and clinical issues, as scheduled.Other duties as assigned to include, but not be limited to :Assisting as directed in emergencies, crises and disasters, beyond regular duties;Travel as directed by supervisory staff on behalf of NOVA;Assisting as directed with planned or unplanned moves of offices, facilities and / or Consumers;Attendance and / or participation in NOVA planned or sponsored events as assigned;Attendance and participation in training, staff development or events related to NOVA business as assigned.
