Wash Bay Attendant
The Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for maintaining the physical upkeep of the equipment and property. Additionally, they will maintain the cleanliness of both tractors and trailers as required by company standards.
What a Wash Bay Attendant does daily :
- Promote safety in all actions
- Maintain the exterior of the building
Pick up trash
Prepare and complete wash tickets in a timely manner in compliance with company policyWork effectively and safely within the wash bay and shop area without supervisionComply with and continually update knowledge of all DOT regulations, federal, state, local and company standards and requirements regarding :Personal safety when performing cleaning operations on tractors and / or trailers
Maintaining an environment of cleanliness and safety within the wash bayDisposal of all waste products, both hazardous and non-hazardous.Properly use cleaning equipment that may weigh as much as 100 lbs.Properly disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble tank appurtenances that include but are not limited to vents, valves, clean-out caps, clamps, loading / unloading lines, gaskets and other equipment that is to be cleaned as per normal tank cleaning procedureInsure proper treatment of hoses that are 20' in length, up to 4' wide, and may weigh up to 75lbsInsure proper treatment of leaded drums that may weigh up to 100 lbsCommunicate with Shop Manager as requiredAdditional Responsibilities :

Ability to stand for extended periods of time on a concrete floor; repeatedly reach above shoulder level an unlimited numbers of times daily, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, kneel, squat, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activityOccasional lifting (up to 100 pounds)Working Conditions :
