Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist

    • Ongoing opportunities may be available beyond this date

  • Setting

    • Inpatient, outpatient, on-call, and clinic coverage

    Key Responsibilities

  • Procedures

    • Perform scheduled and emergent interventional cardiology procedures, including inpatient consults, inpatient study readings, and some clinic visits depending on assignment duration.

  • Patient Volume

    • Expected daily admissions range from 4-6, primarily adult and geriatric populations.

  • On-Call Requirements

    • Weekday night call and 24-hour weekend call coverage; on-call time includes handling call-backs as necessary.

  • EMR

    • Use of EPIC, with required online and onsite training modules prior to start.

    Schedule

  • Weekdays

    • Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (hourly rate), 5 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM (night call rate with 2.5 gratis hours)

  • Weekends

    • Saturday and Sunday, 24-hour call from 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 AM, with 8 gratis hours per day

    Required Qualifications

  • Board Certification

    • Interventional Cardiology (required)

  • Licensing

    • Active Colorado license or IMLC LOQ at time of submission

  • DEA Certification

    • Required and must be active for the entire duration of the assignment

  • Experience

    • At least 2 years of post-fellowship experience

  • Background

    • Strong preference for a clean malpractice and background record, with a self-inquiry NPDB report required at the time of submission

    Credentialing and Training

  • Credentialing Timeframe

    • Approximately 45-60 days (temporary privileges may be available)

  • EMR Training

    • Completion of online training modules prior to onsite training, which is scheduled for the providers first day if all modules are completed

    Travel and Accommodation Support

  • Lodging

    • Reimbursement based on actual expense, capped at 1.5 times the GSA rate

  • Mileage

    • Reimbursed at IRS Standard Rate
