Travel Certified Surgical Technologist – Franklin, TN

Contract Length : 13 Weeks

Weekly Compensation : Up to $1,680 (based on experience)

Work Hours : Monday – Friday, 6 : 30 am – 5 : 00 pm

Position Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures. This role maintains a sterile environment, ensures proper functioning of equipment, and provides direct support before, during, and after surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and the technologist’s role within them

Prepare operating rooms by assembling necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment

Maintain and update surgeon preference cards, tray lists, and instrument logs

Monitor and maintain a sterile field, reporting any breaks in sterile technique

Operate surgical instruments, power equipment, video systems, lasers, and other OR technology

Accurately document sterilization records and other required logs

Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to promote effective teamwork and patient care

Attend required safety and compliance training programs

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the surgical team

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required

One-year certificate from an accredited college / technical school OR equivalent experience

NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (or equivalent certification)

CPR certification required

Minimum of 6 months related experience preferred
