Job Title : Senior Estimator Concrete / Tilt-Wall / Industrial Construction
Location : Houston, TX
Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team in Houston . The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in concrete and tilt-wall construction , with a solid background in industrial and education projects . This role is responsible for managing all estimating activities from conceptual budgeting to hard bid while supporting strategy, accuracy, and profitability across multiple project types.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for concrete, tilt-wall, industrial, and education sector projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and equipment
- Lead bid strategy sessions, subcontractor outreach, and bid evaluations
- Review subcontractor proposals for completeness, scope coverage, and competitiveness
- Collaborate with operations, project management, and preconstruction teams to ensure constructability and accuracy
- Provide conceptual estimates and cost models during early design and preconstruction phases
- Support value engineering efforts and provide cost-effective design alternatives
- Mentor junior estimators and support team development within the estimating department
