Muir Wood Healthcare is a residential and outpatient treatment program designed for teen boys and girls, ages 12-17, with mental health and substance use disorders. In our safe, comfortable, and structured environments, our compassionate clinicians help teens explore and process sensitive issues while learning to manage their lives in productive ways.
We provide high-quality Joint Commission-accredited residential treatment, creating an environment where teens and their families feel cared for, valued, and engaged. Our academic program is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We are in-network with Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, MHN, Magellan, Halcyon, and Optum, making our exceptional brand of teen treatment accessible to as many families as possible.
The primary purpose of the Academic Assistant is to provide academic instruction during the week to Muir Wood clients, collaborate with their home schools and parents, and actively participate with the treatment team as a member of the Muir Wood residential treatment program.
