About The Position
We are seeking a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Wisconsin. This opportunity begins on Nov 3, 2025, and involves daily shifts from 6am to 6pm with weekend coverage on a rotating 1 : 3 schedule. The assignment includes rounding with a surgeon and potential call-backs for emergencies, providing an engaging and dynamic environment for experienced Physician Assistants.

- Schedule : Daily 6am-6pm (end time varies); weekend coverage 1 : 3. Saturday and Sunday after rounds / orders / notes are completed, providers can leave the hospital. In-house call is not required, but call-backs may occur for emergencies or additional assistance.

Perform daily rounding with the surgeonAssist with vein harvesting as neededProvide first assist in the operating room when requiredConduct procedures as appropriate to skillset, including A-line, central line, thoracentesis, and chest tube placementAssess and manage new consults as neededAdditional Information
Must be licensed in WisconsinAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredBoard certification in Cardiovascular Disease or Cardiothoracic Surgery requiredBenefits
