Responsibilities

• Work with a team of experienced civil engineers on innovative transportation projects such as preliminary roadway studies, interchanges, urban streets, and multimodal design, safety studies, and construction plan development
• Gain an understanding of roadway engineering design elements by assisting with calculating cost estimates, developing transportation plans, and utilizing geometric design techniques
• Assist with preparing studies and written reports
• Develop CAD knowledge and plan production skills from Professional Engineers while becoming familiar with the consulting engineering community's role in creating and enhancing the transportation systems of the region
• Learn the basics of industry-specific 3D modeling design software like MicroStation / OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete assigned tasks on time and within budget
