SAS & Mainframe Application Support Engineer job at Atlantis IT group. Ontario, CA.

Responsibilities
- Build new capability and investigations; provide production support for applications running on SAS and Mainframes; handle job abends and ensure incidents are resolved according to SLA.
- Knowledge and experience with SAS Base and SAS macro programming; UNIX / AIX shell scripting; DB2 and SQL (or general SQL knowledge); exposure to SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Interactive, SAS Management Console; and job schedulers such as CA7 and AutoSys.
- WebSphere, SOAP-based web services, and SQL for batch processing; exposure to Spring, Hibernate, Unix, and JSF programming.
- Provide production support to Java / J2EE applications; resolve L3 incidents; diagnose and analyze incidents; cooperate with TD group for investigation and analysis.
- Provide temporary or permanent solutions that eliminate root causes; document and report incidents; follow up for Priority 1 or Priority 2 incidents until resolution.
- Weekend on-call support as needed.
- Mainframe responsibilities include : JCL, PROCS, TSO, ISPF, z / OS, IBM utilities; exposure to COBOL and SAS programming; mainframe data structures, data extraction / manipulation (VSAM, DB2).
- Produce SAS data reviews, code SAS scripts, and extract reports; provide production support for mainframe applications and manage job abends.
Qualifications / Experience
Experience : 8+ years recommended.Experience in client-facing or client support roles, working on support projects and resolving tickets within SLAs.Experience with ITSM Incident Management, application support & upgrade support, diagnosis and resolution.J-18808-Ljbffr
