Mobile Application Developer

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in mobile application development for both Android and iOS platforms.

Licenses and Certificates

Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent issued by another state by the time of appointment.

Special Requirements

Applicants must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Disqualifications include felony convictions, felony deferred adjudication, Class A or B misdemeanor deferred adjudication, Class A or B misdemeanor convictions, or open arrest warrants for any criminal offense (felony or misdemeanor), including family violence convictions.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Manage mobile app store platforms, accounts, and third-party publishers.
• Work with software teams to define app features, validate ADA compliance, and review user interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, utilizing version control, and establishing separate development, testing, and production environments.
• Test application performance, identify and fix bugs, and ensure app quality and responsiveness.
• Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Document all programming tasks and procedures for future maintenance and upgrades.
• Integrate robust security measures, conduct security assessments, and stay updated on cybersecurity threats.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure app protection and compliance with industry standards.
• Integrate APIs, third-party SDKs, device features, and publish apps to app stores, handling updates.
