CPC Certified Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist III to interpret medical record data and manage coding staff.

Key Responsibilities :

Distributes and monitors workflow for coding staff, providing training and technical assistance

Acts as a resource for special projects and addresses coding-related inquiries

Performs analysis on medical records to assign appropriate codes and enters data into the system

Required Qualifications :

High School education with medical coding certification and training in medical terminology from an accredited program

CPC certified with experience in IR coding

Five years of medical abstraction and coding experience or related work experience

Knowledge of ICD-CM and CPT HCPCS coding systems, along with federal / state coding regulations

Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
