Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Generate proposals and complete drafting / documentation according to customer requirements.
Perform hand calculations for part design, flow, component stress, and spring analysis.
Design precision components using SolidWorks.
Design test fixtures ,cold forming or molding tools according to project specifications.
Devise and implement R&D testing programs and procedures.
Identify root causes for field failures and implement modifications or upgrades as needed.

Minimum Requirements

BSME or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

Experience with 3D solid modeling for CAD; SolidWorks preferred.

Strong knowledge of applying ASME Y14.5 GD&T to production-quality drawings.

Experience using PDM systems, including revision control and BOM maintenance.

Demonstrated experience with design for manufacturability and assembly.

Desired Experience / Preferred Abilities

2-3 years of experience in a precision parts machine shop preferred.

Basic knowledge or experience NC code, using Mastercam preferred.

Experience performing static and dynamic structural analysis using hand calculations and FEA.

Ability to analyze and understand the properties of various materials to ensure optimal performance.

Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, seek solutions independently, and drive resolution effectively.

Experience writing and maintaining company engineering standards.
