Forklift Driver I - 1st Shift-Abbott Laboratories

We are seeking a diligent Forklift Driver to operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices. This role involves aiding in the loading and moving of materials efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets.
  • Assist in the loading and moving of materials within the facility.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials.
  • Perform regular checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks.
  • Strong material handling skills.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory management is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Work Environment

    Work hours are from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM. The role involves operating industrial trucks in a warehouse setting. The dress code is casual and safety-oriented, ensuring both comfort and protection.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a contract to hire position based out of Sturgis, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
