Location : Houston, Texas. Reports to the Hiring Manager and is part of the Structural team.

Job Purpose

Responsible for all engineering activities in one or multiple disciplines for specific projects in accordance with contractual requirements (design, budgeted hours, schedule, etc.). Lead a team of engineers / designers and coordinate with other departments and external agencies.

About the Job

• Establishes Discipline QHSE plan and defines discipline objectives, team roles, execution plan, surveillance plan, and work processes in accordance with project objectives and TEN procedures.
• Performs activities and issues deliverables in line with project schedule, quality, contractual requirements, and execution plan.
• Establishes team organization and manages mobilization plan in accordance with budget and Workfront (E bulletin) in coordination with the head of department.
• Supervises internal / external subcontracted engineering activities as per project execution and surveillance plan.
• Checks or approves discipline deliverables.
• Manages and controls schedule and progress (JANUS).
• Controls man / hours budget and identifies internal change requests (E ICR).
• Identifies technical risks and opportunities to meet project objectives in terms of cost, quality, and schedule.
• Consolidates and ensures awareness of input and output data for the discipline.
• Coordinates with other engineering, process / HSE disciplines, procurement, construction, subcontract, commissioning, and other project support for the discipline's activities. Arbitration (Engineering strategy, contractual topics, cost & schedule) is by Project Engineering Manager.
• Identifies optimized technical / economical solutions in coordination with other disciplines. Validation (and arbitration as necessary) by Project Engineering Manager.
• Manages the team to ensure members are aware of assigned work and comply with DQHSEP objectives & TEN work processes.
• Monitors discipline KPI and provides regular reports to the Discipline Department Manager / Project management.
• Represents the company towards clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors, and third parties for technical subjects in the discipline. Support by Project Engineering Manager as necessary.
• Manages and controls material quantities with regards to price sheet budget and proposes mitigation actions to control quantity increases.
• Ensures issuance of the MTO Report for the discipline.
• Supports the Discipline Manager in implementing digital initiatives in the project as required.
• Establishes project close out and lessons learned.
