About The Position

Job Title : MRI Technician (Nights)

Location : Webster, TX

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (Thurs, Fri, Sat, 7 PM – 7 AM)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week

Position Summary :

The MRI Technician will independently perform a wide variety of routine and specialty Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional MR exams. This role requires proficiency in advanced interventional cases as well as MR diagnostics focused on the head, cardiac, prostate, and breast imaging. The MRI Tech will ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform routine MRI and MRA exams including moderate complexity and specialty procedures.

Assist physicians during diagnostic and special MR procedures, including those requiring sterile technique.

Operate Siemens and GE MRI equipment with confidence and skill.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Maintain compliance with safety standards and infection control practices.

Document procedures accurately in the Electronic Medical Record system (EPIC).

Adhere to facility policies regarding scrub color and uniform (any color scrubs except black tops).

Participate in float assignments as required to units with a similar skill set.

Comply with call-off, on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation requirements (details discussed during interview).

Qualifications :

Minimum 2 years MRI technologist experience; 3 years preferred.

Proficient in advanced interventional and diagnostic MRI cases of head, cardiac, prostate, and breast.

Certifications Required :

Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA (American Heart Association)

Either ARRT-MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - MR) or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)

Experience with Siemens and GE MRI equipment.

Ability to work night shifts, including weekends as specified.

Work Environment :

Position requires night shift work (7 PM – 7 AM, Thursday through Saturday).

Contract length of 13 weeks with potential for extension.
