Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location : Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Unit : Labor and Delivery (16 beds, 4th Floor, G Tower) Position Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 6 / 2025 - End : 1 / 5 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour days (6 : 45AM - 7 : 15PM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1620 - $1660 Patient Ratios : 1 : 1, 1 : 2 Equipment : Baxter Pumps, Philips electronic fetal monitoring EMR Systems : Cerner, Fetal ink Scrubs : Provided Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse, North Carolina or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience High-risk Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required Immediate newborn care and postpartum care skills Required Certifications : NRP, BLS / ALS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Ability to float to Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit (MFMU), Mother Baby (MOMB), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as needed Circulating experience preferred Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst procedures Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring equipment Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and fellow RNs Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR and Fetal ink systems Float to related units (MFMU, MOMB, NICU) as required Maintain a positive, adaptable attitude in a fast-paced clinical environment Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Asheville, NC, and take the next step in your Labor and Delivery nursing career!
