At Good Times Restaurants, we don't just serve delicious burgers—we take pride in keeping our buildings and equipment in top-notch shape. Our Colorado-based company is looking for a Maintenance Department Supervisor with expertise in Commercial HVAC, Hot-side Equipment, and Refrigeration Systems to lead and support our maintenance operations across Good Times and Bad Daddy's restaurant locations.

Position Summary :

Under the direction of the VP of Facilities & Construction, the Maintenance Department Supervisor is responsible for

  • Hiring, developing, managing and supporting internal R&M Technicians. Oversees work quality, delegates tasks, and develops team members' skills.
  • Repairing and maintaining equipment in condition of new. Performs troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on commercial food service equipment including, but not limited to, Grills, Fryers, Ovens, Hoods, Dishwashers, Refrigeration Equipment (Coolers, Freezers, Walk-In Coolers & Freezers), and HVAC systems.
  • Ensuring the team's Work Orders are completed timely.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervisory Duties :

  • Lead, train, and mentor maintenance team members, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Monitor daily service calls and assign projects to team members based on workload and priority.
  • Monitor and evaluate work completed by the team to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate scheduling and on-call rotations, including emergency coverage.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing team members in collaboration with the VP of Facilities and Construction.
  • Maintain department documentation, including time tracking, performance records, and equipment use logs.
  • Maintenance Duties :

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on commercial food service equipment including Grills, Fryers, Ovens, Dishwashers, Refrigeration Equipment (walk-ins, freezers, coolers), beverage systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Maintain and repair heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform general facility maintenance (e.g., lighting, plumbing, electrical, health / safety standards compliance).
  • Maintain refrigerant logs in compliance with EPA regulations.
  • Utilize facilities maintenance software to document all service activity.
  • Utilize computer-based HVAC monitoring and control systems.
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient in power tools and welding equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • EPA Type I and II Refrigeration Certifications required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively under dynamic conditions.
  • Education & Experience :

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in restaurant equipment repair.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead technician role preferred.
  • Plumbing and / or electrical certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Compensation & Benefits :

  • Starting Salary Range Depending on Experience : $85,000 - $100,000

  • Working Conditions :

  • 45–50 hours per week, including emergency evening and weekend availability (on-call every third weekend)
  • Exposure to all weather conditions, rooftop units, and commercial kitchen environments
  • Frequent physical activity including lifting (up to 50 lbs solo, up to 70 lbs with assistance), bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces or extreme temperatures
