Job Title : Senior FP&A Manager, CPG
Position Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior FP&A Manager to be a key member of the Finance team, working closely with the senior leaders, providing financial information to impact operating decisions. This role will be the lead Finance business partner to the CPG and Wholesale teams, supporting and challenging them to find and execute profitable growth opportunities.
Salary : $130,000-$145,000 + 7% Bonus Eligibility
Location : Hybrid (New York City)
Reports to : Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Principal Duties :
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Develop annual and multiannual plans, budgets, and forecasts in partnership with business line leaders
- Manage the coordination of the monthly close process between business line leaders and the accounting team
- Prepare monthly trade accruals and reconciliations
- Work with Accounting team to manage and dispute trade and non-trade deductions
- Report CPG results by business line, product & channel / customer
- Share results with business line leaders, with insights on performance and recommendations to address gaps and opportunities to plan
- Present plans, budgets and results to CEO and investor partners
Analysis
Analyze item consumption trends and insightsCo-develop price pack architecture for CPG itemsEvaluate new items, new customers, and promotion opportunitiesWork with Supply Chain team to manage inventory stock levels to reduce swell and obsolete spendMonitor ingredients and packaging costs, identifying opportunities, and partnering to execute cost-saving initiativesPartner with logistics team to understand and minimize freight and warehousing costsProvide financial insights based on product-specific and channel / customer-specific sales analysis to inform strategic planning and business growthParticipate in ad-hoc projectsRequired :
Bachelor's degree required in business, accounting, or a related field3 + years FP&A experienceAdvanced Excel skillsAdvanced analytical skillsKnowledge of USGAAPExperience in CPGExperience working with and managing UNFI chargebacks and other chargebacksExperience working with retailer trade spend accrualsPreferred :
Experience working with NetSuiteExperience implementing and using an FP&A toolExperience implementing and using a chargebacks management toolExperience working in a fast-growing companyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partnersOrganized with good time management skills#LI-HYBRID
