About the Position :

  • Working under the direction of the VP Risk and Underwriting and Risk Manager or other designee, the  Risk Analyst II will contribute to the oversight of merchant accounts to identify, investigate and mitigate transaction processing activity that represents financial risk to the company based on company guidelines.
  • Conducting daily, weekly, monthly reviews of transaction activity and analyzing increased credit risk, transactional variations, dispute activity, and fraud patterns.
  • Proactively monitoring all merchant activities for compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Investigating abnormal transaction processing patterns and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial, credit and publicly available information to support actions and decisions.
  • Assessing and evaluating business model risk and exposure by evaluating merchant industry type, processing volume, refunds volume, delivery time frames and disputes.
  • Answering internal and external inquiries specific to risk.
  • Supporting specialized projects on an ad-hoc basis as directed by department or company leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience with high-risk payment processing preferred Knowledge of Card Brand rules and regulations required Must have prior experience and use of Aperia risk monitoring tool, Vigilance High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. 2-5 years of experience in Risk Management within the acquiring industry Proficiency with MS Office Suite products with a focus on Microsoft Excel Familiarity with various tools used for underwriting and due diligence (i.e.
  • Equifax, TIN Check, Aperia, Vigilance, MATCH, GIACT, Merlink, etc.).
  • Familiar with systems / platform utilized by companies Fiserv and REPAY.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and trends in the payments space and their associated risks.
  • Excellent time management Ability to analyze, test, assess and / or interpret information or data to make recommendations to enhance business operations.
  • Possesses strong analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously while producing a high output of quality work.

    • Pay Range :

  • $30- $34 / hr.  This position will consider remote candidates in the following states :   AZ, CA (select areas), CO, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, MA, MD, ME, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA.
