Work location : Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Plano, TX 75093

Work hours : Full-Time Days (7am-7pm) rotating weekends and holidays

Medical Surgical Department Highlights

  • 22- bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
  • 1 : 5 RN : patient ratio, 1 PCT for every 10-11 pts
  • Experience as preceptor and / or charge nurse highly preferred

Here’s What You Need

  • Nursing Diploma
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
  • BSN preferred
  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
  • RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

    • What You Will Do

    Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
