Duane Deane - Who we are :

For over 50 years, Duane Dean Behavioral Health Center has provided substance use treatment, intervention and prevention services to adults who reside in Kankakee, Iroquois counties and throughout east-central Illinois. Working in collaboration with our management organization, Rincon Family Services, since 2017, we have expanded our services to include violence prevention, workforce development, mental health and welcome center services.

Position Description – What the Role Entails :

• The counselor in the MAR Clinic provides therapeutic support, education and intervention to patients undergoing treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) utilizing Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) services for individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorders. The counselor will assess the patient needs, deliver counseling services and help clients navigate their recovery journey through behavioral therapies and personalized care.
• The counselor will report to the clinical supervisor / director and will provide direct counseling and support services to patients participating in Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) programs for opioid use disorders (oud).
