Scope of Position
Primary liaison working with state and local partners to lead district change efforts related to project goals and objectives; implement and monitor project systems; coordinate local program; act as liaison to Project Directors; provide youth and parent engagement and information dissemination; plan, manage, and implement evidence-based Student Assistance Program (SAP) and Communities in Schools (CIS) Model of integrated student supports at schools. Support the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values by exhibiting honesty, excellence, accountability, respect, and teamwork.
Essential Job Functions
- Work closely with AFMC Community Resources to achieve project goals.
- Build and lead a school support team that collaborates with school administrators, teachers, and support staff in the implementation of the CIS Model.
- Attend planning meetings and gather necessary data for meetings and grant reports.
- Ensure parent and community participation in planning meetings.
- Lead the annual CIS school needs assessment process and develop support plans.
- Maintain a student caseload and coordinate tiered supports.
- Participate in school events and functions as appropriate.
- Identify assets and risk factors for students, families, and communities; work to reduce risks and enhance assets.
- Engage families and community partners addressing student and school needs.
- Ensure activities meet performance goals, target audience, and timelines.
- Adhere to formatting, content, style guidelines, and maintain communication quality.
- Communicate needs to team members and follow confidentiality, security, and HIPAA protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Leadership, planning, and effective communication skills.Professional self-starter with cultural competence and youth empowerment skills.Ability to manage stress, meet deadlines, and handle interruptions.Proficiency in MS Office, data management, evidenced-based practices, and typing at 40 wpm.Strong English, spelling, confidentiality, creativity, customer service, coaching, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, lead teams, respond tactfully to multiple projects, and prioritize tasks.Excellent public speaking, teamwork, time management, and flexibility skills.Willingness to travel to Little Rock at least biannually for meetings.Additional Information
