Position Overview

Mind Momentum is seeking a Lead Therapist to serve as a clinical leader within the practice. The Lead Therapist will provide peer support, coaching, and guidance to fellow therapists while maintaining a reduced client caseload. This role is ideal for a seasoned clinician who values mentorship and professional growth, and who is passionate about promoting clinical excellence across the team. The Lead Therapist is not a direct manager, but serves as a trusted resource and role model for clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a smaller client caseload while providing high-quality, evidence-based outpatient therapy to individuals, families, and / or groups.
  • Offer peer support, clinical consultation, and coaching to therapists to enhance skills, confidence, and client outcomes.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new therapists, helping them integrate smoothly into the practice.
  • Lead or facilitate clinical team meetings, case discussions, or training sessions as appropriate.
  • Promote best practices in therapy, ethics, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with practice leadership to identify training needs and develop professional development opportunities.
  • Stay current with evidence-based approaches and Nebraska licensing standards.

Qualifications

  • Active Nebraska license as a LIMHP, LICSW, LMFT (independent level), or Licensed Psychologist.
  • Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, marriage & family therapy, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities and the ability to provide peer-level consultation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, clinical excellence, and cultural humility.
