Job Description
We’re seeking a Senior Mechanical / Automation Integration Engineer to design and lead development of advanced mechanical systems and automation equipment for next-generation agricultural machinery.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on design expertise, a deep understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems, and a proven record integrating mechanical hardware with automation and control technologies. This is a high-impact role working cross-functionally with electrical, software, and automation engineers to bring complex machinery from concept to production.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Lead mechanical system design for complex machinery and automation systems.
- Design and validate systems with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical actuation.
- Execute 3D CAD modeling and large assembly design (Onshape, SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360).
- Apply GD&T, DFM / DFA, and precision tolerancing for fabricated and machined components.
- Design high-load structural systems including lifting mechanisms, conveyors, linkages, and chassis assemblies.
- Collaborate with vendors on manufacturability and fabrication optimization.
- Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of CNC machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Integrate mechanical systems with sensors, actuators, and PLC control electronics (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Arduino Portenta).
- Work with motion control, servos, encoders, and industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, CAN, Ethernet / IP).
- Integrate industrial cameras or 3D sensors (Keyence, Cognex, Basler, ZED, etc.) for perception automation.
- Coordinate with software engineers on embedded compute systems (NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi) and data pipelines.
- Conduct structural and fluid simulations (FEA / CFD) and perform applied calculations for torque, force, and motion.
- Ensure designs comply with ASABE, OSHA, and CE standards for agricultural machinery.
- Lead integration projects across mechanical, controls, and vision systems, maintaining documentation and communication excellence.
