Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly skilled Family Systems & Trauma Integration Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinical and research team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of trauma-informed care, family systems theory, and the neurobiological effects of chronic stress. This role involves providing therapy to patients and families involved in our clinical research programs and wellness initiatives, helping them integrate emotional and behavioral health strategies into their overall care plan.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on trauma recovery and systemic healing.
Conduct assessments to identify trauma-related symptoms and family dynamics impacting patient progress.
Collaborate with neuroscientists, physicians, and behavioral researchers to align therapeutic interventions with ongoing studies and treatment models.
Design and implement trauma-informed therapeutic programs that support resilience, mindfulness, and emotional regulation.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
Offer educational workshops and family support sessions to improve communication and coping strategies.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to provide insights on psychological and family systems care.
Stay current on emerging research and best practices in trauma therapy and integrative neuroscience.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling.
Current New Mexico licensure (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or equivalent) required.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with trauma survivors or family systems therapy.
Specialized training in trauma-informed practices (e.g., EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy) preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a scientific and clinical environment.
Interest in neuroscience, integrative health, or biologically informed mental health interventions is a plus.
