About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 4x10-Hour

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : 2 years PACU RN experience required, preferably in a high acute care hospital

License : Valid state RN licensure required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have :

• Knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care
• Experience in ICU and Cath Lab preferred

Description :

The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology.

This role involves applying the nursing process to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge.

The position requires knowledge of airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications.

Floating to other locations may be required depending on census.

The registered nurse must demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Experience with various patient diagnoses and procedures within the PACU setting is essential.

Candidates should be able to manage complications and provide support for patients recovering from anesthesia.
