Location : Alva - 511 Barnes Street\n\nSalary : up to $63,280.80, based on education and experience\n\nFull Time / Part Time : Full-Time\n\nWork Schedule : Monday - Friday\n\nPrimary Hours : 8am – 5pm\n\nPosition Description\n\nThe Registered Nurse III is responsible for providing direct care services at county health departments with primary responsibility being quality improvement efforts of clinical services and management of community health initiatives such as chronic disease programs and childhood vaccination efforts to improve health outcomes.\n\nPosition Responsibilities / Essential Functions\n\nThe functions performed by employees in this job family will vary by level, but may include the following : \n
- Assesses health status of individuals, families, and communities; develops plans and implements appropriate nursing interventions.\n
- Evaluates and determines health resources necessary to meet individual, family and community health needs.\n
- Delivers professional nursing care in an assigned unit, clinic, home, or other setting.\n
- Educates individuals, families, communities, and members of the health care team about the principles of disease prevention and health promotion.\n
- Provides supervision to other professional or paraprofessional personnel; collaborates with other professionals in the management of health care.\n
- Delegate tasks that may safely be performed by others, consistent with educational preparation and that do not conflict with the provisions of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.\n
- Assures quality health care through use of various measures such as record review, peer review, direct observation, and assessment of individual, family, and community for the desired outcome.\n
- Performs specialized nursing functions as educationally prepared\n

- Works effectively in team environment, participating and assisting their peers.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nRequirements consist of possession of a valid Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or, Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and two years of professional nursing experience.\n\nApplication Requirements\n

In addition, this job requires, knowledge of available health programs and resources; of federal and state rules and regulations concerning health services; of accreditation, certification and licensure standards; of preventive health practices; of principles and methods of teaching; of nursing standards; and of nursing policies and procedures. Ability is required to develop, plan, and implement an effective nursing care program and to provide education and training.\n\nPhysical Demands And Work Environment\n\nMust be able to move to provide examinations 80% of the time. Combination of office and exam offices. May be exposed to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, and medicinal preparations. Varied activities including sitting, walking, stooping, lifting, bending, pushing, and reaching. Applicants must be willing to perform all job-related travel associated with this position. Use of N-95 respirator is required. Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
