Compensation Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,880 - $2,020 per week Job Details – Tacoma Nursing Jobs Location : Tacoma, WA 98444 (Washington healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract Setting : Off-Campus Emergency Department (OCED) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 14, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend (negotiable) Floating : May float to other OCED sites as needed Charting System : EPIC EMR Free Parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (any trauma level) Active Registered Nurse license (Washington or compact state) BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required Strong IV skills; experience with chest tubes and central lines Ability to manage ventilators and BiPAP (training provided) Excellent communication and customer service skills Willingness to float between multiple OCED locations Telemetry competency (must be completed and passed prior to start) First-time travel nurses welcome! Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to all ages, including trauma, cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psychiatric, and walk-in emergencies Manage patient ratios : 1 : 4 in main ED, up to 1 : 6 in fast track with team support Administer medications, including mixing under pharmacy supervision via video conference Care for intubated patients and manage ventilators (no RT onsite) Participate in charge nurse duties as needed (training provided) Collaborate with LPNs, phlebotomy, and clinical support staff Document patient care using EPIC EMR Maintain compliance with PPE protocols (N95s, PAPRs, goggles) Complete orientation and ongoing training, including an 8-hour respiratory class Apply now to join our Tacoma healthcare team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse and start your travel nursing adventure!
