Janitorial Associate Trainer at Adelante Development Center, Inc.
Note : This description reflects a professional role focused on training and supervising associates in custodial tasks, supporting independence, and ensuring quality work performance.
Responsibilities
- Learns and implements behavior management procedures, training programs, policies and procedures to develop the productivity of Associates, and communicates this information to other staff as appropriate.
- Participates in the evaluation of Associates to assess progress towards independence in their job.
- Works one-on-one with the Associates to facilitate their success through hands-on training, demonstrations, repetition to build new work habits, and other coaching.
- Directs the work of assigned Associate employees with disabilities, including cleaning and restocking restrooms and removing trash.
- Sweeps, mops, buffs hard surface floors; vacuums carpeted areas; dusts and polishes furniture and surfaces.
- Ensures grounds and sidewalks are free of trash and debris; conducts inspections of work and records progress.
- Reports complaints from customers and any needed equipment repairs to supervisor for resolution.
- Participates in the time-study process for assigned Associates.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
High School Diploma (or equivalent)One (1) year custodial work experience required; experience in a large facility such as motel / hotel preferred.Experience working with disabled adults preferred.Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.Other Requirements
Must pass background check and drug screening. Must have reliable transportation.Must be able to lift 25 lbs.; crouch, kneel, push, pull, bend and stoop frequently. Must be able to carry 25 lbs., squat, and reach above shoulder levels frequently. May sit, stand, and walk depending on duties.Must have visual acuity and manual dexterity for data entry. Must work in a busy environment, indoors and outdoors, and with cleaning solvents.
