Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Telemetry Unit (37 beds)

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 1 / 19 / 2026 – End : 4 / 20 / 2026)

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,470 - $1,570

Telemetry RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact state)

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Excellent communication and patient engagement skills

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Monitor and provide care for patients in a 37-bed Telemetry unit

Manage patient ratios of 1 : 6 (general Telemetry) and 1 : 4 (Heart Cath recovery)

Assist with procedures such as central lines, medication drips, heart catheterization recovery, and bubble studies

Operate PCA pumps, IV pumps, chest tubes, and utilize Meditech EMR system

Collaborate with fellow Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Clerks

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to diverse patient populations
