Your Role as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

As a vital member of our home health team, you will :

  • Follow state-specific laws governing occupational therapy in home care, adhering to the treatment plan set by the supervising OT.
  • Instruct and assist patients in evidence-based treatments, ensuring compliance with state laws.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment, coordinating care with other healthcare team members as needed.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and other team members about therapy within your scope of practice.

    • License Requirements

  • Current OTA licensure in the state of Kentucky.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, with access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
