Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care, has an exciting opportunity for an APP Supervisor for the SE Division. This position is only available to full-time Advanced Practice Practitioners in the SE Division.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range : $110,000-$155,000. Pay is based on factors including education, work experience, and certification. Responsibilities

This supervisor position provides clinical leadership to the APPs in the SE Division. Through interviewing, hiring, training and ongoing performance management, the Supervisor will drive safe, high-quality care resulting in improved patient outcomes. The role combines patient-facing clinical responsibilities and administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

APP : 88% Clinical

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
• Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient / family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
• Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
• Assesses patient / family needs and provides education.
• Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.
• Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
• Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
• Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.
• Serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information studied in clinical trials.
• May provide palliative care for patients and families as needed.
• May promote / provide staff education.
• Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after-hours calls.

Administrative

12% Administrative : Responsible for managing APP staff, including interviewing, assisting with hiring, performance evaluations, performance management, Workday approvals, and development of APP staff.

Qualifications

Option 1 : Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school with successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing NP, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred. Current CPR / BLS certification required.

Option 2 : Physician Assistant

Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA certification. Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing PA, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in the practicing state. Current CPR / BLS certification required.

Option 3 : Clinical Nurse Specialist

MSN with successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. AOCNS preferred (if applicable). Current CPR / BLS certification required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
