About the AI Platform Engineering Team

Our engineering team builds Walmarts core AI platform, powering seamless, intelligent customer experiences at massive scale. We operate at the intersection of modern Python microservices, advanced cloud AI integrations, and top-tier observability practices. In this role, youll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver robust, efficient, and secure platform solutionsdirectly influencing Walmarts digital transformation.

What Youll Do

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of backend services for AI / ML workflows
• Develop and scale LLM integration layers, vector search, and embedding pipelines
• Oversee robust error handling, retries, caching, and observability (metrics, logging, tracing)
• Drive code quality through reviews, testing, and CI / CD best practices
• Partner on system architecture and technical decisions with engineering and product teams

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
