Job Description

Summary

The Snowcat Operator Basic is responsible for the safe operation of a snowcat to create quality snow surfaces for skiing and riding to support day-to-day mountain operations and special events.

Essential Job Functions

• Groom terrain for skiing and riding
• Responsible for consistent grooming, creating clean lines on the slopes and effectively cleaning up pattern discrepancies that result in crooked lines and / or turn marks
• Ability to maintain grooming standards including at night on uneven terrain and in adverse weather conditions
• Perform general maintenance of the snowcats and informs mechanics of any issues
• Must pass ASC and Colorado snowmobile test (as required)
• Other duties as assigned
