Description
- Conducts site prep including assembly, painting, kitting, labeling and color coding
- Conducts equipment inspections and completes proper documentation. Identifies unserviceable equipment and reports this to the foreman
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, RF design, and other documents required to complete assigned tasks
- Installs, replaces, and troubleshoots wireless equipment based on provided documents
- Performs all tasks of lower tier Tower Techs as needed to facilitate a successful and timely job completion. Trains and evaluates lower tier technicians
- Assists with administrative work including reviewing and taking pictures, red lining drawings, completing job safety / site analysis (JSA), making copies and scanning documents
- Performs daily vehicle inspections and reports findings
- Inventories, orders and restocks trailer material as needed
- Performs equipment testing such as sweeps, fiber optic, electrical and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing
- Properly operates equipment such as Capstan hoist, Gin Pole, Ariel lifts, skid loaders, etc.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Follows all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
Should have at least 4 years of experience climbing towersVerifiable work experience and referencesHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be able to communicate and understand verbal instructions in EnglishKnowledge and proper use of various hand tools and power toolsSelf-sufficient and able to work productively within changing prioritiesWilling to travel and work long hours / weekends / overnights as neededKnowledge in operating test equipment such as Passive Intermodulation (PIM) gear, Anritsu Site master and Fiber Test gearMicrosoft Office computer skillsMust pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle checkNWSA TTT2 preferred but not requiredMust possess the following :Valid driver’s licenseClimbing / rescue certificationCompetent rigging certificationFirst Aid / CPR certificationRF Awareness trainingNWSA TTT1OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred)Physical / Work Requirements
