Position Summary

The Learning and Development Trainer is responsible for conducting comprehensive training and development programs for employees. This role involves collecting information, conducting research, and creating impactful training materials and programs to enhance organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Management

  • Design and deliver training programs using various instructional techniques including role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities to measure program effectiveness
  • Develop specific training programs to help employees maintain and improve job skills

Needs Assessment & Planning

  • Assess training needs through surveys, employee interviews, focus groups, and management consultations
  • Analyze performance gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions
  • Align training initiatives with organizational goals and objectives
  • Content Development

  • Create and develop comprehensive training materials including procedure manuals, guides, and course materials
  • Design engaging visual aids and handouts to support learning objectives
  • Organize and maintain training documentation and resources
  • Required Qualifications

    Education

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related discipline)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in learning and development, training, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and adult learning principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with learning management systems and e-learning platforms preferred

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in training and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD)
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and virtual training delivery
  • Knowledge of change management principles
  • Experience in developing training for technical or specialized systems
  • Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility for remote and on-site training delivery
  • May require occasional travel to various locations for training sessions
  • Standard business hours with occasional evening or weekend sessions based on business needs
