Ambulatory Operating Room Nurse (Ambulatory OR RN)

Ambulatory OR RN's provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery. Duties include patient education, circulating nurse and / or scrub nurse, and potentially First Assist. Work alongside surgical teams to make sure that patients are receiving the best possible care; serve as liaisons between the surgical team and the patients ' families. Ambulatory OR RN's work in a clinic, or outpatient setting. There are several types of operating rooms depending on the type of surgery such as : General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Spine, Urology, and Cardiac / Thoracic.\n\nEducation / Requirements : \n

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) : 4-Year Education\n
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) : 2-Year Education\n
• You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.\n
• RN's can only work with an active state license.\n
• ACLS is often required\n
