Position Summary :

Priority Envelope is a leading manufacturer and supplier of custom envelopes made for the direct marketing and transactional mail industries. We have an immediate need for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor at our facility located in Nevada, Iowa.

A Typical Work Day : Shift is from 3pm to 11pm

The Production supervisor sets the shift working assignments for each machine line (627 web press, SW web press, 202 Web press, 249 web press and SR web press). Works closely with scheduling and shipping to ensure finished product is shipped according to schedule. Works closely with Operators and Adjusters to make sure machines are running according to appropriate run speeds while ensuring the outstanding final product quality. Manages new hire training process, performance evaluations, safety training and shift related employee relations.

Job Description :

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day shift activities including manufacturing, safety, quality, scheduling, and maintenance. This role is directly responsible for people leadership and driving efficient production flow and continuous improvement work environment.

This highly visible member of the Production team will be responsible for directly supervising and influencing the day-to-day operations of assigned shift by reviewing the production schedule, safety procedures, quality metrics, and customer deadlines to support the operational contribution to maximize profits. In addition, they identify and recommend measures to improve production throughput, equipment performance, product quality, waste reduction, resource flow and cell efficiencies.

Qualifications :

To be successful at this role, a minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience in multi-shift manufacturing with preference in envelope, printing or paper converting industries . In addition, a proven track record of solid communication, problem solving and process improvement collaboration skills with the ability to analyze production data and communicate results within the production team will be required.

Salary : $65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
