Job Title : Industrial Electrician
Location : Kern County, CA
Pay Rate : $35–$40 / hr DOE
Schedule : Full-Time | Monday–Friday 7AM-3 : 30PM | Overtime as Needed
Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician for a confidential manufacturing client in Kern County. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems and components in an industrial environment. Candidates must have experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems, and be committed to maintaining operational safety and efficiency.

Performance Objectives :
Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems including wiring, conduits, motors, circuit breakers, and transformers.
Perform preventive maintenance and electrical inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as multimeters and thermal imaging devices.
Execute electrical system upgrades and improvements for enhanced performance.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on new installations and modifications.
Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and safety inspections.
Follow all OSHA safety protocols and participate in regular safety audits.
Train junior maintenance staff on electrical systems and safety best practices.
Key Competencies :
Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Expertise with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs , and industrial automation systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Arc Flash Protection knowledge and adherence
Education & Experience Requirements :
High school diploma or GED required
Formal apprenticeship or technical training in electrical systems preferred
Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license in California is preferred
5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Additional certifications in specialized systems or safety protocols are a plus
Additional Requirements :
Must pass a drug screen and physical
Valid Driver’s License required
Must be willing to travel out of state temporarily for training (1-2 weeks on the East Coast)
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and around industrial equipment (outdoors environment)
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing stairs or equipment as needed
