Mechanical Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work onsite for a client in Ann Arbor, MI. Responsibilities include :

• Modeling and simulation of key powertrain components and systems including hybrids, battery electric and fuel cells.
• Making and standardizing new simulation methodologies related to structural powertrain problems.
• Improving existing simulation methodologies for efficiency and accuracy to improve product development process.
• Benchmarking of new technologies and model base development technologies.
• Collaborate with universities, research labs and engineering companies to conduct research in electrified powertrain including hybrids, battery electric and fuel cells and apply to in-house development
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new opportunities for research and development

Develop prototypes to demonstrate feasibility of the products

Knowledge of automotive powertrains - engine, transmission, driveline, battery, etc.
