QA Facilitator

Location : Huntsville Department : Quality Assurance

Reports to : QA Supervisor Shift : Night Shift 9 PM-6 AM

Hourly / Salaried : Salaried FLSA status : Non-exempt

Job Summary :

Responsible for performing daily Q.A. activities as assigned to assure that the products are safe, wholesome, and meets stated requirements .

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities :

Responsible for pre-operational and operational sanitation.

Monitor product attributes to assure product quality is at targeted levels. Assures food safety, regulatory and company compliance. Assures compliance with all established safety procedures.

Trains production staff regarding quality standards, product specifications and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Maintains HACCP, SSOP, Lab and Plant records.

Ensures good manufacturing practices

Performs pre-operational swabs

Compiles reports on nonconforming product and nonconforming plant issues.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Understand poultry processing and the equipment associated with the process
• Have specific knowledge of Company policies, and State and Federal regulations as used in the Poultry Processing Industry
• Ability to communicate effectively with Leads, Supervisors and Managers
• Use of a personal computer to communicate, collect and organize data, and prepare reports and spreadsheets as needed.
