Assembly Technician

Location : Issaquah, WA

Shift : 6 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM, M-Th

Pay : $20-23 / hr

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for measuring products pulled for assembly, performing visual inspections, cleaning materials, and taking internal clearance measurements. You will also be required to mark parts using chemical or laser etching equipment, deliver finished products for quality verification or shipment, and complete inspection reports and shop travelers. A fundamental understanding of basic math and the ability to read and interpret technical documents are essential for ensuring product specifications are met.

Responsibilities

  • Measure product pulled for assembly and perform visual inspection.
  • Clean balls and take internal clearance measurements.
  • Perform part marking using chemical or laser etching equipment.
  • Deliver finished product for quality verification or shipment.
  • Complete inspection reports and shop travelers.
  • Perform basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.
  • Mechanical aptitude and assembly experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documents.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 70 lbs.
  • Finger dexterity for handling tools and components.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in bearing assembly is preferred.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Issaquah, Washington.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 / hr.
