Senior Staff Protocol Engineer

A company is looking for a Senior Staff Protocol Engineer to join their Protocols team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead research and development initiatives to improve and scale Base's throughput

Enhance execution and consensus client internals to extend system capacity and capabilities

Drive technical direction and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals

Required Qualifications

At least 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on scaling and protocols

Proven leadership in scaling high throughput systems

Understanding of EVM and client software internals

Familiarity with database internals and high-performance database systems

Knowledge of the Ethereum scaling roadmap and onchain technologies
