About The Role

The Senior Technical Specialist, Instrumentation is responsible for performing maintenance and preventative maintenance of HPLC systems and mass spectrometric detectors. He is also responsible for the inventory, maintenance scheduling, tuning and calibration of chromatographic equipment. Senior Technical Specialist, Instrumentation also provides coaching, training, and mentorship for Technical Specialist, Instrumentation and laboratory employees.

What You'll Do Here

  • To perform tuning of the mass spectrometric detectors.
  • To perform preventative maintenance procedures of HPLC systems and mass spectrometric detectors.
  • To troubleshoot and repair complex HPLC and mass spectrometric (MS) malfunctions.
  • Person in charge of the inventory of consumables and parts of the chromatographic systems.
  • Person responsible for scheduling chromatographic equipment maintenance, tuning, calibration, calibration and repair.
  • Coaching, training, and mentorship for Instrument Service Technicians.
  • To provide his technical expertise as part of the event resolution.
  • To conduct all work in compliance with SOPs, GLPs, and observe all company guidelines and policies.
  • Respecting Health and Safety standards in terms of personal protection, laboratory maintenance, and work procedures.
  • To train laboratory employees on HPLC and MS equipment.
  • To participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.
  • To participate and perform duties such as writing SOR and reviewing IQ / OQ protocols.
  • To review and approve paperwork if needed

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Ideally a College Degree or University Degree in Chemistry
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess extensive hands-on experience with chromatographic equipment.
  • Must have understanding of the general SOPs applicable to instrumentation and in depth knowledge of FDA-GLP.
  • Extensive experience on calibration, maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment, and / or instrumentation troubleshooting, in the medical and / or pharmaceutical fields is mandatory.
  • Attentive to details, manual dexterity, capable of handling heavy equipment, must possess strong technical problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize, good organizational and communication skills (especially written).
  • Able to function with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledgeable of ISO guidelines.
  • GLP minded.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Software : MS-Office, Analyst, Outlook.
