We're actively seeking a talented Sr It Solutions Analyst to join our Actuarial Data Team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is on-site. How you'll help move us forward :
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from actuarial and reinsurance stakeholders to develop effective data solutions
- Use SQL to analyze data, validate requirements, and support business reporting needs
- Lead requirement gathering sessions and ticket refinement meetings, translating business needs into clear technical requirements
- Develop comprehensive acceptance criteria and test plans to ensure quality deliverables
- Coordinate development requests through the testing phase and validate implementations against requirements
- Implement and monitor data quality checks within our data pipelines
- Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and process documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements and process improvements
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency through data analysis
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business users, translating requirements in both directions
The experience you bring :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of experience in business or systems analysisStrong SQL skills with experience writing complex queriesAdvanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, and data validationExperience with data analysis, reporting tools, and translating business requirements into technical specificationsExperience writing detailed acceptance criteria and test plans for data implementationsKnowledge of data quality concepts and implementation approachesTechnical documentation experience for both technical and non-technical audiencesExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailWhat makes you stand out :
