About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a clinic in Vermont. This 120-day assignment begins on 09 / 22 / 2025, with a flexible schedule of 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, offering both part-time and full-time options. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide range of primary care conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses, and performing various procedures. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating common ailments, managing chronic conditions, performing routine health screenings, and providing patient education.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

• Diagnose and treat common primary care conditions such as cold, cough, flu, acute back / joint pain, skin rashes, headaches, STIs, and ear infections
• Manage chronic conditions including hypertension, asthma, diabetes, anxiety disorders, arthritis, and obesity
• Perform procedures such as joint injections, toenail removal, pap smears, and skin biopsies
• Conduct routine health screenings and physical examinations
• Provide patient education on preventive care and disease management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Athenahealth electronic health record system
• Adhere to all clinical protocols and guidelines
