About the Role :

We are currently looking for our next star in-house counsel to provide generalist legal expertise and support with a focus on commercial transactions and data privacy. This position will lead significant aspects of Forter's legal function, supporting sales and business teams in the Americas on all aspects of the business with an emphasis on contract drafting, review and negotiation, as well as compliance with local laws, including data privacy laws. This position will be located in New York with the requirement to be in-office at least three days per week.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Support Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success organizations, predominantly in the Americas region
• Independently negotiate commercial agreements, including privacy components.
• Support business teams in drafting and negotiating agreements with vendors.
• Advise business teams on legal compliance, including on data protection and privacy issues.
• Advise business teams on recommended courses of action and legal risk, with the ability to judge when to escalate identified issues as appropriate.
• Assist in updating contract templates, drafting global corporate policies, and processes, and helping build internal processes and enable the company on such policies.

Salary Range : $178,000 - $220,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefits

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, and skill level.
