Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Occupational Therapist Discipline : Therapy Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Title Therapist - Occupational Therapist Location Dallas, TX Schedule / Job Type Full-time, travel assignment, 13-week duration, day shifts, 5 days per week, 8.5 hours per shift, onsite Key Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to neonatal patients in a Level III / IV Neonatal ICU setting Perform neonatal feeding, developmental care, positioning, parent education, and developmental interventions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans Utilize specialized equipment such as Dr. Brown bottles, positioning devices, and specialty feeders Accurately document patient progress and treatments in the electronic medical record system (Meditech) Float to Pediatric Cardiac ICU and other pediatric units as needed based on census and caseload Required Qualifications Neonatal ICU experience at Level III or IV Clinical proficiency in neonatal feeding and swallowing therapies Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment Positive and calm demeanor with strong relationship-building skills Confident in clinical skills and able to adapt to a fast-paced setting Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience working in pediatric or neonatal intensive care units Familiarity with neonatal developmental care and positioning techniques Experience with parent education and developmental interventions Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a well-respected hospital with modern equipment and supportive staff Engage in meaningful work helping neonatal patients and their families during critical times Flexible schedule with potential for professional growth within a dynamic pediatric care environment About iDEAL Hire iDEAL HIRE is dedicated to working with the best of the best in healthcare and education.
