Job Title
To serve as a civilian employee of the Indiana State Police whose primary responsibility is to process biweekly payroll, run and interpret queries, process GL journal entries and prepare the reports of collections, and maintain agency financial and payroll data records.
Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation, administration and submission of payroll
- Add / remove members to projects for OT
- Maintain agency financial and payroll data records
- Process miscellaneous billings and all interdepartmental billings
- Process and enter GL journals in PS
- Provide projections as requested by the Director of the Fiscal Section
- Prepare daily report of collections
- Processing of unmatched wires list
- Enter all overtime reports into the department computer for computerized reports and the Comptroller's system for payroll purposes
- Work with Human Resources to maintain accuracy on all district and division overtime reports
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records
- Audit expenditures posted to grants to ensure accuracy and consistency with state and federal guidelines
- Prepare and submit federal drawdown requests for reimbursement of expenditures
- Process and enter GL journals in PS for corrections as needed
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports
- Communication with department and non-department personnel on payroll-related issues
- Perform other duties as required.
