Overview
Great Hill is seeking a Database Administrator in Ft. Cavazos, Carl R. Darnall Medical Center (CRDAMC).

Responsibilities
- Perform overall support for the multiple databases that include confidential business files, personally identifiable information (PII), PHI and general user data (SBU and CUI).
- Create, modify, update and maintain SQL databases.
- Attend meetings and support server applications that impact clinical and administrative automation projects.
- Maintain system and security logs and document problems and resolutions for query capabilities.
- Recommend improvements to data accuracy and collection methods.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining databases required for new, existing, and upgraded automation products.
- Use industry-standard tools, perform data review to ensure data quality input by users and departments.
- Resolve network connectivity problems affecting supported databases.
- Develop plans and schedules for database installations and migrations.
- Ensure daily backups and weekly testing of backups.
- Manage and improve database security to protect confidentiality, availability, and integrity of data.
- Coordinate with others to implement changes to system operation and to plan for new software releases or hardware upgrades.
- Prepare a Software Release / Upgrade Action Plan.
- Provide database re-engineering services to improve data capture and quality.
- Respond to and diagnose problems via discussions with users and the ServiceNow helpdesk platform.
